Transformational coaching - how it works...
In each session we work with your remit and I respond to what you bring of yourself. That could be a desire to sing well, a need to have more impact when giving presentations at work, or a sense that your voice is blocked in some way that you wish to explore. You'll learn a number of exercises that you can take home and practice, particularly relating to breathing, pitch and projection and to what I call the "spectrum of resonance". Through these exercises you'll become more familiar and comfortable with the full range of your voice and will begin to develop its creative potential.
Creative work within the session brings us into the "performance space." Whether real or metaphorical, performing (or being witnessed) demands our full presence and commitment to the moment. The performer, whether interpreting a song, embodying a character, presenting a paper or teaching, is in an exquisite position of power - and vulnerability. Working with this metaphor in a playful, non-judgemental atmosphere is a potentially life-changing and transformational process in which the voice is integrated with how we are, how we feel and the demands being made of us to express, explain, embody or inspire.

fundamental voice
Inventive and fun ways to explore the speaking voice with a focus on developing vocal health, resonance, breath control, projection and presentation skills.
breath, body, voice
Experiential sessions working with breath, voice and body to release the tensions and stress that deplete our energy and well-being. Effective and fun exercises to encourage relaxation and vitality in the workplace.
"voice jams"
Emphasis on sung sound, toning, rhythm, song and improvisation. Creative exercises with individual, partner and group scores. Vocal exercises to strengthen voice, breath support and resonance.
Great for team-building and empowerment.
voice, art and power
an ongoing closed group, exploring artistic process as a means to working with personal process. Vocal work is at the core of this course but it can also include writing, painting, movement work and journaling to support and nourish the journey.
